365 Day Project - Day 129

Fegie the Cat, gives us empirical evidence for Cartesian Dualism (that our minds are distinct from our body/brains, this mind is our essence).  Here you see how her essence ("soul") stayed on the legde a few minutes longer than her physical body (ruled by her brain).  Her physical body craved the catnip on her mat while her essence (mind, soul one could argue) still wanted to sit in the window and observe the street.  If you look closely, you can see through her essesnce (to the shutter on the other side of her), which, of course, you couldn't do if it was her physical body jumping from the ledge. She is currently taking an online class at the University of Oxford, "Philosophy of Mind."  I did ask her how to explain how she was able to seperate her essesnce/mind/soul from her body but she was too busy rolling in the catnip to explain.
